CPFT Research Event – invitation to contribute!

The annual CPFT Research Event will be held on Thursday 30th March 5:00-8:30pm. This event is open to all and will be an opportunity to engage staff and members of the public in research relating to mental health, dementia and older people’s care. The event has three parts: an exhibition space, speakers, and an Images of Research competition. 

We are inviting you to contribute to the Images of Research competition. Entries are invited from any researcher/project relevant to CPFT services (adult, child and adolescent mental health; dementia; older people’s and adult community services; learning disabilities and neurodevelopmental services). Visitors to the event will be invited to vote for the best image during the evening.

Assistant Psychologist opportunity with the CLASS clinic


The Cambridge Lifespan Asperger Syndrome Service (CLASS) clinic offers a specialist diagnostic assessment for adults who may have Asperger Syndrome or High-Functioning Autism.

The team invites applications for the post of  Assistant Psychologist for the Autism & ASD Assessment Service for Adults (CLASS) – 0.4 wte (15 hours per week), fixed term until 31st March 2017.

The Children in Care Award


Cambridgeshire County Council Voices Matter Group wins The Children in Care Award.

Cambridgeshire Children in care group Voices Matter has made a huge difference to looked-after young people and professionals. It work has included creating Cambridgeshire pledge to Children in care, which sets out what support is available and forms part of the councils corporate parenting strategy. 

Three animated films, created by the group to highlight the views and feelings of young people in care, have now had more than 40,000 views on YouTube. The young judges were impressed by the groups ”strategic, young people-led approach.”

UCL Qualitative Health Research Symposium 2017

We invite contributions that take a closer look at collaborative qualitative health research by critically exploring both the results of these research projects and the processes used to build and carry out research as a diverse team. We are also seeking to explore the ways in which qualitative researchers negotiate their roles within interdisciplinary teams and make contributions to interdisciplinary research.
