MIND YOUR HEAD
If you haven’t any plans for this Friday evening, 3rd October, then please come to the new University Technical College on Long Road in Cambridge and take part in MIND YOUR HEAD – Headway Cambridgeshire’s version of The Apprentice meets Dragons’ Den.
Taking part is free and you could have fun, make new contacts and acquire new skills.
Will you get involved?
We’re asking everyone in the county of Cambridgeshire to join us at the new University Technical College in Cambridge on the evening of Friday 3rd October when all you have to do is form into teams of SOLVERS and come up with ideas for new products or services that could help people with brain injury as well as those who care for them. We’ll have lots of experts on hand to help you.
At the end of the evening, if you’ve come up with an interesting idea, you can enter your team into the Mind Your Head Challenge. If you do, you’ll have about 8 weeks to develop it into a business-based solution. Then, on the evening of Friday 28th November, we will be getting everyone together again to hear a selection of the ideas that various teams have developed. We’re hoping some investors will join in (just like Dragons’ Den – only a friendly version!).

Applying for NIHR Funds for Research in Healthcare – RDS Workshop – A programme of 2 one day workshops
In this set of two full-day interactive workshops we look at the most important aspects of putting together an application for research funding. Our work over these two days is focused on the various funding streams run by the NIHR, although the topics covered are also highly relevant for those planning to apply to other funding streams and agencies. The overall aim of these training days is for participants in the workshops to develop the skills they need to put together a high quality research bid with a genuine chance of success in a highly competitive field. Persons most likely to benefit are those new to writing bids to the NIHR, and with limited or no experience of writing bids for other funders. The workshops will take place on the 7th and 14th of October at the University of Bedfordshire.
