Trail News & Information

A day at Crater Lake:
The Klamath Trails Alliance partnered with Crater Lake National Park to celebrate National Trails Day on June 6. All told, 12 volunteers came including six National Parks Service crew members and two KTA members, said Jennifer Gifford, trails supervisor.
They removed downed trees and brushed the Pinnacles Trail. They also completed 200 LF of lodgepole trail edging.

Members Are Important:
Members are very important to our trail efforts.
They show that there is community support. Members also provide cash that helps us pay the bills, like insurance and the post office box. Cash also allows us to buy tools for trail maintenance.
The Spence Mountain fund has been a big success and we have nice momentum there. We are thinking of investing some money on design and planning to improve the Moore Park trail system, and membership dues help fund this kind of thing as well.
Are you a member but haven't gotten around to renewing? Or you haven't gotten around to joining? Mike Chamberland, our webmaster, has improved our "Become a Member" and "Donation" web pages. It is now set up to accept recurring donations (monthly or annual). This makes your life simpler: you decide the amount and time period.
Check us out at klamathtrails.org and scroll down to the last paragraph and click on "Become a Member" or "Donate."
Our thanks to you.
Visitors on the trail:
Cog Wild Mountain Bike Tours & Shuttle, of Bend, paid Klamath Falls and Spence Mountain a visit in June. Here is what it had to say about our awesome trails:
"Klamath Falls! Check out these rad trails on Spence Mountain built by Dirt Mechanics for the Klamath Trails Alliance. We were very excited to go check them out, and now spread the word. K Falls is on its way to being a new mountain bike destination!"
