Trail News & Information

New trail in Moore Park

Trail work started early this year with three maintenance days in February.
Jerry Enman led the work, which focused on new trails departing from the Klamath Ridgeview Trail in Moore Park. Crews worked on Feb. 14, 16 and 21.

The new trail departs the Ridgeview trail west of the Lynwood neighborhood. There are three sections of new trail and two following old skid trails. They tie in with the Tunnel of Love near the top of the ridge. The new trails include four switchbacks because of the steep terrain. The length is about 0.4 miles

A representative of the Klamath Tribes accompanied the work to ensure no culturally significant sites were disturbed.

KTA needs your help!
KTA just had a very successful year, especially with the Spence Mountain fundraising. To continue to grow, we need two people to help us get to the next level: membership and fundraising.
Are you this person? Or do you know someone with the skills to help in these two critical areas?
Email us at  info@klamathtrails.org for more information.

KTA has a (mostly) new website
Mike Chamberland, one of our advisory board members, did a remarkable job updating our website and making it more useful.
Check it out at klamathtrails.org
It's loaded with lots of stuff about KTA, including a new calendar.
