Trail News & Information

Sole Trail Running Series

The third-annual Sole Trail Running Series started off with a bang when 42 runners came to Moore Park for the first race on March 12.

Get in on the fun! Come and join Asana Yoga and Sole and the Linkville Lopers and explore trails near Klamath Falls in this weekly running series. Runs are scheduled for 6 p.m. every Thursday this spring and distances vary from 5K to 10K.

"This is a great way to explore trail running if you are new to the sport," the Sole Trail Running Series Facebook page says. "It is also a great way to get in that hard run while training for your next event."

Proceeds from the races (which cost $5 per race, $4 for Lopers members) go to the KTA, Friends of Moore Park and the Linkville Lopers.

Lost Cascade Bike Club

Klamath is home to a new club for cyclists.
The Lost Cascade Bike Club showed up on Facebook in March and on April 21 the club will hold a kickoff event called "It's Official ..."

The LCBC facilitates rides through and works to support larger organized rides.

"We hope that this will also become a hub to promote not only a healthy and active community but to give the cyclist in the area a presence that you can put a name on," the LCBC said on Facebook. "People clearly know that there are cyclists in the Klamath Basin. We're here to give people somewhere to go to when they want to see something more happen, or when we need a flag to rally behind, or simply a place for people to connect with like minded others."

"It's Official ..."
