Trail News & Information

Winter Fun on Trails

Mother nature has rewarded us with plenty of snow to enjoy on our low elevation trails.  Whether you cross country ski, snow shoe or even fat bike there are several places to go.  Moore Park offers great options for all three winter disciplines and holds the snow better with its north facing aspect.  Golf courses are also great places to kick and glide but please ask for permission and stay off the greens and tee boxes to prevent damange. Spence Mountain is a good playground in the winter too and is best accessed by the country road to Eagle Ridge County Park which is plowed all winter.  Enjoy!

"First Mile of 2016" Spence Campaign

Lets keep digging in the dirt and building more awesome trails at Spence Mountain! Thanks to lead donations from Linkville Loper’s Running and Walking Club and Muffler King our campaign has been seeded with $2,000 towards a goal of $20,000.  Funds will be used to continue professionally building trails at Spence. If all goes well, a 12 mile loop should be ready to enjoy by this summer.  Contributions have been coming in and we’ve raised $4,955 or 25% of our goal to date. You can donate online or send a check to KTA c/o of the Spence Fund to P.O. Box 347, Klamath Falls, OR 97601.  Thank-you for your support!

Gravel Grinder Anyone?

First, you might ask WHAT IS a gravel grinder?  Good question… it is a strange term that refers to a growing segment in the biking industry.  Some call it the "wild west of biking". Gravel grinders are basically routes comprised of riding backcountry roads as opposed to single track trails.  All locals know that Klamath has an abundance of these old logging and backcountry roads so lets leverage one of our assets with an event!  Lost Cascades Bike Club with the help of KTA is seeking interested folks that might want to help organize the event.  If interested please email us at
