Sponsorship opportunities for 2016 Careers Show

As part of the Autumn Statement 2015, the Chancellor announced a number of apprenticeship reforms that are aimed at ensuring the sustainability of quality apprenticeships. We are now taking exhibitor bookings for our annual Careers Show, which this year takes place at the East of England Showground on Friday 15th July from 9:30am - 3:00pm.

It's FREE to exhibit, all we ask is that you come equipped with interactive activities, where possible, to help engage visitors, and that you are willing to talk to young people about the skills required in your business sector and the type of roles they could aspire to.

Last year, over 2,000 young people from across the region attended the event, seeking inspiration for their futures from over 120 exhibitors. Feedback was extremely positive from both visitors and exhibitors and our video at shows some of the highlights of the day.

To secure your stand, please download the Booking Form and return to as soon as possible. If you would like to talk to somebody in more detail about the event, please call us on 01733 863696.

Part of the Careers Show is a CV Bootcamp, which runs throughout the day. We are looking for business professionals to help visitors improve their CVs in a 'CV clinic' format. The aim of the bootcamp is for young people to get a different perspective on their CV and to come away with a good sense of what their strengths are and to be aware of the areas for development and improvement. If you would like to help with the CV bootcamp, please complete this Volunteer Booking Form.

We also need a number of adult volunteers to help out on the day to ensure the event runs smoothly. Tasks include: encouraging students to engage with businesses, visitor registration/counts, ensuring exhibitors have everything they need, signposting and directing, collecting litter. To sign up to be a general event volunteer, please complete this Volunteer Booking Form.

One of our key aims is to co-ordinate events that help to raise the aspirations of young people and inspire them about the wide range of businesses, sectors and opportunities available.

Our new brochure outlines the 'menu of activities' that schools can choose from, highlighting the purpose and expected outcomes of each. This can also help you decide which types of events you would like to get involved in to help address the skills gaps in your business.

Our Events Calendar is looking busy for the remainder of the academic year. We are particularly looking for businesses to support the following events:
