The Skills Service - Working together to deliver careers information

Skills Lead, Sue AddisonWelcome to our latest newsletter for schools.

I am pleased to inform you that we have been contracted by the Greater Cambridge Greater Peterborough Enterprise Partnership (LEP) to deliver the 'Signpost 2 Skills' initiative in Peterborough, Rutland, Fenland, King's Lynn & West Norfolk, Huntingdonshire, East Cambridgeshire, South Holland and South Kesteven.

Funding from both the LEP and the Careers & Enterprise Company (CEC) allows us to support schools with developing strategic CEIAG and business engagement plans, in addition to the free brokerage service that we already offer. We will be discussing this in more detail with our school contacts over the coming months, but please do get in touch if you want to book a meeting to find out more.

>> UNIVERSITY UNCOVERED: INFORMATION FAIRS

Not long to go until our three 'University Uncovered' information fairs. These events are unique in that they are aimed at both students and their parents who want to find out more about Higher Education in general. It's not so much about the courses on offer, but more about how to prepare for student life, what to expect, whether it's for you and how you will benefit. Please encourage your Post-16 students to come along.
