We are once again proud to announce that Champions are a gold sponsor for the 3rd Annual Coleman Greig Challenge which raises money for St Gabriel's School and the Royal Institute for the Deaf and Blind Children.

St Gabriel's School is a special needs school that caters for primary aged children with intellectual disabilities and autism.

Royal Institute for Deaf and Blind Children provides a range of services for students with vision and/or hearing impairment.

We have 2 teams participating on Friday 23 October and will be competing in either a 5km or 10km run or the cycle race around Parramatta Park.

We wish all those participating the best of luck.

With Ben Robinson

Ben commenced with Champion's in February 2012 as our Cadet Accountant.

This month we get to know Ben a little better.

Can you tell us a bit about your role at Champions?

I work as a senior accountant, assisting the Managers and Directors managing range of different clients. This includes management reporting, budgeting and annual compliance, as well as a range of projects that come up from time to time.

How would you describe Champion's as a firm

Very passionate and supportive of our clients and colleagues. We all get on well and everyone here genuinely enjoys their work. I feel as though this shines through in the services we deliver to our clients.

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

I play drums in a band. We regularly play around Sydney and tour the east coast every year or so. I also love playing poker so this takes up a fair amount of my spare time as well.

What is the last book that your read?

Harrington on Hold’em – A poker strategy book.

What is your favourite movie?

I don’t watch too many movies but I love a good thriller. “Before the Devil Knows You’re Dead” is a personal favourite.

Where is your favourite holiday destination?

I really enjoyed Las Vegas when I visited earlier this year. Locally, Melbourne is a favourite and I generally visit a couple of times a year.

If you were stranded on a deserted island what is the one thing you could not do without?

A volleyball to be my best friend.
