We are delighted to bring your attention to a month meant to celebrate and honour our Asian Heritage and accomplishments. We begin with a workshop for secondary students at the Toronto District School Board's Asian Heritage Month Symposium for Secondary Students (May 6). Educator Jaclyn Wong and volunteer Minnie Kong will be co-facilitating the workshop on Asian Canadian Identity & Advocacy this week.
We are also recruiting members to join our Board of Directors. Please see below for more information. As a Board member you will help steer the direction of CCNCTO and gain invaluable experience.
Saturday May 21, 2016, 12pm - 3pm: Pink Dot Toronto. Now in its 3rd year, we are happy to once again partner with ACAS on this special event on Asian LGBT+ visibility and acceptance. 2016年五月二十一日星期六: 多伦多粉点运动. 本届为第三年，我们再次和亚裔社区艾滋病服务机构携手共同举办.
Monday May 30, 2016, 5pm - 7pm: Asian & South Asian Heritage Month Reception: Celebrating Civic Leadership. In partnership with CASSA, we have a panel of speakers that will talk about civic leadership in our communities. We will also award the Chinese Canadian Achievement Award. Please RSVP to join us for this special occassion.
We also have a busy June ahead with the Elder Care Planning Forum (June 15), Annual General Meeting (June 18) and Chinatown Neighborhood Tour (June 19). More information on those events in the coming weeks!
Thank you for your support and we hope to see you soon!
