Covid-19 Community Resources

Dear Parents and Caregivers,

We miss you all very much, and hope you are all safe and healthy. As we move into our twelfth week of the provincial Covid-19 restrictions, all EarlyON Child and Family Centres continue to remain closed until further notice. Ontario has moved into Phase two of re-opening certain services and businesses but group gatherings and community service groups continue to be restricted. However, the weather is beautiful and this month's newsletter provides families with outdoor activities and resources to keep busy and connected.

You may also contact our main line if you need to reach someone immediately at (416)-656-8025 and ask to speak with someone in the EarlyON Centre. We provide services in
Spanish, Portuguese, Mandarin, Tamil and Urdu.
Please continue to stay safe and healthy. We will continue to update information on community resources to help you plan for the coming months.

The EarlyON Team

Since the weather is getting nicer, our little ones want to spend more time outdoors! For families struggling to come up with outdoor learning opportunities we will be offering individual outdoor play bags. Limited quantities available. The variety of materials and activities are appropriate for children aged 2-5 years old. For families that are interested in receiving the outdoor activity bag, we ask you to please email Melanie at or call any EarlyON Staff at (416)-656-8025. We will send you further information about the distribution date and time.

The bag contains bubbles, a magnifying glass, sidewalk chalk, a pinwheel, a book, a nature scavenger hunt, and outdoor activity ideas!

DPNCHC's Community Dietician, Jedid, is sharing a delicious 'Yummy Fish Cakes' recipe with our families this month! Click on the link to view the full recipe and information on introducing allergenic foods to your baby during the pandemic. Introduction to food allergens when baby is ready for solid food (around 6 months), is very important to reduce the risk of baby developing a food allergy. Happy cooking - we hope you enjoy the recipe!
