PROGRAM UPDATES:

Dear Families,

We miss you all very much, and hope you are all safe and healthy. To minimize the spread of COVID-19 all EarlyON Child and Family Centres will remain closed until further notice. We are monitoring the COVID-19 situation carefully.

As an EarlyON Centre within a Community Health Centre staff have been working in an emergency capacity to support food distribution, emergency telephone support and community screening. We continue to assess its impact on our programs and services.

Please continue to check in with us for the most up-to-date information about EarlyON programming, or send us an email at anytime to the EarlyON staff person you know best. We will try our best to respond quickly.

You may also contact our main line if you need to reach someone immediately at (416)-656-8025 and ask to speak with someone in the EarlyON Centre. We provide services in
Spanish, Portuguese, Mandarin, Tamil and Urdu.
 
Please continue to stay safe and healthy. We will keep you as up to date as possible as services change and announcements are made.

BROWN BAG CRAFT MATERIALS INITIATIVE:

For families struggling to come up with ideas and activities at home, we will be offering  individual craft bags. Limited quantities available. The variety of materials are appropriate for children aged 2-5 years old. For families that are interested in receiving the craft bag, we ask you to please email Amada at acisternas@dpnchc.ca or call any EarlyON Staff at (416)-656-8025.

The bag contains construction paper, animal shape cut outs, crayons, a glue stick, play dough, bubbles, and craft materials!
Services offered at Davenport-Perth Neighbourhood and Community Centre (1900 Davenport Road):
Telephone outreach to vulnerable clients and community members;
Take-away meals available at the main door on Mondays and Wednesdays at 5:00 p.m.
• Friday snack packs program pick-up is available at 2:00 p.m;
• Crisis intervention supports and settlement services are available by phone at (416)-656-8025


EarlyON/Healthy Beginnings at The Stop Community Food Centre (1884 Davenport Road):
Telephone counselling, food hampers and support with your pregnancy.
Please email christina@thestop.org, or call Tamara at (416)-588-3755 ext. 557, or our main line at (416)-656-8025 to speak with an EarlyON staff.

The Health Centre (1892 Davenport Road):
The majority of health care is done by telephone and we continue to provide appointments to our regular clients for urgent health issues that cannot be treated by phone. Before calling the Health Centre YOU MUST CALL FIRST TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT at (416)-658-6812 

The Community Choice Pharmacy (1892 Davenport Road):
The pharmacy is open and hours vary, please call (416)-651-8228

Non-Insured Clients looking for health services:
Please contact our Settlement Team at (416)-656-8025 to be directed to clinics and resources.

If you need food locally:
Our local Food Bank is The Stop Community Food Centre.

Do you need a face mask?
Local sewers and community members are making face masks to support the community. If you would like a few for your family, please contact our main line at (416)-656-8025 and speak with Carrie. Or email cyoudell@dpnchc.ca. If we don't have them available immediately, we can put your name on our list and get back to you when they are ready for pick up.
