This week we will hear from Shannon Bush. She will be entering the MA program in Southeast Asian Studies this fall.

I was a volunteer in Java for one year—from 2002-2003—and for 6 months in Bali in 2008.  It was while I was in Java that I first became interested in studying Southeast Asia. At the time, I had been out of law school for several years.  I was working as a prosecutor in California when I learned about a program called Volunteers in Asia through Stanford University.
