What does putting in the work toward healing look like 1 year later? For me it's this before and after of my own bookmarked mindfulness guide...
Let's virtually book party together!
Post your journey on social media and tag me @drjenwolkin - and I'll share it on my Instagram story!
How epic would it be if we all did this? How much calm can we cultivate together?
I will also be donating signed copies of Quick Calmto various worthy organizations to help make mental health a little bit more accessible, tag me @drjenwolkin AND your favorite organization in a social media post or story!
Immersing in healing can actually change our brains. The truth of neuroplasticity (that our brains are malleable) means that we can be the NeuroArchitects of our lives.
That means there is always hope for growth beyond trauma, and that’s an idea worth reinforcing.
I remind my clients of this: when the healing feels arduous, and it often does, we just need to take it one step at a time... We CAN change the way our brains perceive threats so that we feel safer.
This can only be done if we envelop ourselves in BOTH accountability for showing up and doing the work AND offering up COMPASSION for ourselves along the entire journey.
I can’t wait to hear how mindfulness has played a role in your year,
I lobe you, XO, Dr. Jen
