Mindfulness doesn’t have to be complicated: Mental Calm is in your hands - literally.

Hello Friends! It’s me, Dr. Jen here. I’ve missed you and I want you to know how much I lobe you.

It’s true! In my wildest dreams, I couldn’t imagine the community we’ve created online. We reached 55k+ on Instagram last week, and I am humbled. Your thoughts, insights, ideas, and comments help create a vital and dynamic conversation around the importance of mental health. And the impact is farther reaching than we can realize. So here's to you!

As you know, one of my passions is the neuroscience and practice of mindfulness. I just published a book about it! CUE bio about the book here: In my book 'Quick Calm: Easy Meditations to Short-Circuit Stress Using Mindfulness and Neuroscience' I outline the science behind how 5 minutes a day, every day, will do more for the brain and overall wellness than one hour once a week.

I walk readers through 30 neuroscience-backed mindful exercises (no more than 5 minutes each, because, we are BUSY people here) many of which can be easily integrated into activities you are already doing: drinking coffee, eating, showering, walking, cleaning, washing dishes, even while brushing your teeth!

I recently had the incredible opportunity to PROFESSIONALLY record the practices in my book, which I will be using for my upcoming course (which you'll be the first to learn about, of course, so stay tuned!) In the meantime, I've got a sneak peek to share with you, SO without further adieu:

I welcome you to please enjoy this FREE BRAND NEW audio recording of my popular Mindful Washing meditation, guided by yours truly!

Practice #16 from the book: Mindful Dishwashing

Ok, who was given this chore as a kid? I say we reclaim this task and enjoy it for the relaxing symbolism it can carry if approached with a mindful intention and awareness. There is so much opportunity to practice gratitude and appreciation with this practice, let me show you how.
What do you think of this practice? Let me know and I’ll post your answers on social!
OK, ONE more thing until next time….I HAVE MERCH!!! I speak a lot about what’s known as toxic positivity. In fact,
I’m allergic to "good vibes ONLY”,
how about you?
Never in the history of depression has anyone healed after hearing “Just be positive!” Telling someone to CHOOSE to be happy won’t help them heal from depression. It’s more complex, layered, and multi-factorial.
That's why I am allergic to the term "good vibes ONLY." I feel all the feels and welcome all the vibes!

So much so, I wear it proudly across my chest, and now you can too!
Check it out on the Quick Calm Store
I hope that Quick Calm becomes part of your self-care toolbox! I will be with you along the way during your dive into mindfulness practice.

XO, Dr. Jen
