How about you? 🌻 This is our 15th newsletter related to the manufacturing sector in the San Diego-Imperial Region. As always, our goal is to improve student’s success in the labor market through educator engagement where we will aim to update, expand, and align K-16 career educational pathways. Here, you'll find news, resources for distance learning, best practices, upcoming events, industry-related virtual panels or tours, and job opportunities for your students, alumni & network!

Our partners at Junior Achievement would like to invite you and your students to participate in two virtual employer site tours coming up on March 15th with Hawthorne CAT and March 22nd with Perfect Snacks. 

Hawthorne CAT: Construction equipment provider. 
Perfect Snacks: manufacture of healthy, protein-rich snacks. The almond butter bar is my favorite!

Both of us are honored to be chair and co-chair to the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME) Chapter 44 this year. Our 2nd chapter meeting is this Saturday at 9:00AM PST. We would love for you to join us as you will meet manufacturing industry partners in our region.

A practical introduction to elevatEd Classrooms's model for SEL, its Domains, Belonging through a STEM lens by welcoming more females in STEM, and why males need to take part in these conversations too! Participants will engage in conversations with peers to ideate how Belonging and SEL can look at your individual sites. Participants will receive an SEL Discussion Prompt Activity to immediately begin engaging your staff or learners in the Belonging Domain.
