Dear friends and clients,
I have returned from my month-long sabbatical recharged and well-rested. I very much enjoyed my time with friends and family, and I am so grateful to everyone who made it possible for me to take this extended time off, particularly my team at the clinic.
Highlights of my time home included watching the Festival of Lights in Berlin, a beautiful bike ride along the White Elster river that included a surprise sighting of a wild boar (!), hiking with my sister Anja through the area known as the "Thuringian Herb Garden" and stopping in the villages of our ancestors, and eating lots and lots of good food!
Sadly, my grandmother suddenly passed in her sleep the day before I was going to see her, and a few days before her 100th birthday. I feel blessed, I was home when she became an ancestor and that I had the time to say my good byes and be with my family.
t through the end of the year: 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. Now back in Portland, it is definitely fall season! As many of you know, we had been looking for a new clinic location. However, we didn't find a space that was a better fit than our current one, and are now happy we were able to extend our existing lease. A little clinic make-over is now in the works, including creating a staff room for meetings and where we can have meals together. We will continue curbside service for now, and our clinic hours will remain the same, at leas
You will soon notice some new faces at the clinic as we are in the process of hiring a couple more employees, because Alexis decided to move into another career and Jacqueline started college to pursue her degree in veterinary medicine. Erika, Jada, Lucia and I are excited about the opportunity to on-board some new team members soon. We will keep you updated...
We hope everyone had a good summer and is ready for autumn adventures!
