Pipeline and Resource Estimate Proposal (PREP) Guidance for Resilience Food Security Activities


Photo of woman farming in the PhillipinesUSAID's Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance (BHA) has released the Pipeline and Resource Estimate Proposal (PREP) Guidance for BHA Resilience Food Security Activities (RFSAs), formerly known as Development Food Security Activities (DFSAs). This final PREP guidance addresses the comments received last year on the draft version shared.  
 
BHA encourages recipients to utilize this guidance for upcoming PREP submissions. Please contact your respective Agreement Officer’s Representative (AOR) for any questions or concerns regarding the final guidance.

Call for Proposals: Cracking the Nut 2021


Photo of a man with camelsThis year's Cracking the Nut will be a four half-day virtual learning event on November 15-18, 2021. The event will highlight how public and private sector initiatives can create resilient systems that support rural and agricultural development. Cracking the Nut is organized by Connexus Corporation in partnership with Catholic Relief Services (CRS), DevWorks International, and Oceaneast Associates.

The Cracking the Nut Advisory Committee invites proposals for presentations at this year’s learning event. All proposal submissions should be emailed to crackingthenut@connexus.email by Friday, April 30, 2021 with “Cracking the Nut 2021: Proposal to Present” in the subject line.

The Borlaug Field Award Nomination ProcedureDeadline: June 15, 2021
The $10,000 Norman Borlaug Award for Field Research and Application, endowed by the Rockefeller Foundation, will be presented every October in Des Moines, Iowa, by the World Food Prize Foundation. This award will recognize exceptional, science-based achievement in international agriculture and food production by an individual under 40 who has clearly demonstrated intellectual courage, stamina, and determination in the fight to eliminate global hunger and poverty.

Engaging Family Members in Nutrition Programs: Survey of Program ExperiencesDeadline: March 29, 2021.
USAID Advancing Nutrition invites you to complete this survey to share your experiences designing, implementing, or evaluating nutrition-specific and nutrition-sensitive interventions/activities that involve any members of the family system. Survey results will be summarized and published, with the aim of highlighting lessons learned and recommendations for other practitioners. The survey should take around 20 minutes, and you will have the option to save your responses and return later.
