This project contains a big nod to a very well known manifesto produced in Dublin in 1916 called the Proclamation, participants will get to see the Wharfedale press that the original 1916 proclamation was printed on. There are some spaces left on this free project, please spread the word with anyone who might be interested to partake.

Irish History Live:1916 Rising

Look out for the new 'What's On' guide April-June, due out at the end of this month. For schools during April, we have a series of 'Irish History Live' sessions lined up for class visits to dlr Libraries. These are hands-on history sessions where children get to take up the gun and uniform of a Irish Volunteer, Irish Citizens Army and I.R.B. and recreate the rising of 1916. Be an I.R.A rebel during the war of independence and see how the country became a republic. Contact dlr LexIcon or branch libraries to book your school.
