I'm so lucky! My husband, Steve, does ALL the yard work at our house, and I don't mean he just mows the lawn. All season long he plants, weeds, fertilizes, edges, rakes, and trims while I have the pleasure of enjoying the fruits of his labor.
I was meandering through the yard last week spotting new growth. This happens every year and I anticipate the flowers, so why after all this time am I still amazed at the "rebirth" of the vast assortment of petals and blooms appearing out of the dirt?
Within the routine of our lives, we need to be refreshed by color, inspired by design, and yes, "surprised" by beauty. Just as the theater of nature continues to delight us, never underestimate the impact and the joy of the art which surrounds us daily.
Do you have a special "someone" that you would like to draw? Beginning mid May, the Portrait Workshop is an intensive four class session full of guidance in building features, hair, and skin tones. AM and PM classes available. http://www.beechtreestudio.com/classes/registration/
