NERFA, the Northeast region of Folk Alliance International, invites YOU to their 2022 Hybrid Conference! Taking place both digitally and in person (IRL) over the weekend of Nov 10-13, in Asbury Park, NJ. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage in more educational sessions, showcases, networking, and career building activities than ever before , both in person or online. Showcase applications are open now, and the official venue is the legendary Stone Pony.

No fee to apply, all you need to do is purchase either a digital or in person (IRL) registration and apply before July 1, 2022.

 The 18th edition of the CFMAs Occurs March 30 - April 2, 2023 in Vancouver, BC!
Early bird submissions open until May 31, 2022

Final submission deadline is July 15, 2022

Contact East is APA's hallmark showcase summit and Atlantic Canada's premiere performing arts booking conference. The event brings together performing arts presenters, managers, and agents to see top-quality performances from a diverse range of artistic genres, including but not limited to: music, cabaret, dance, Deaf, Disability and Mad arts, circus arts, theatre, comedy, youth-oriented programming, and cultural performances. 

Contact East 2022 will take place in Kjipuktuk/Halifax, Nova Scotia from Thursday, September 22 to Sunday, September 25.

Charlotte Street Arts Centre is pleased to announce the return of Girls+ Rock Camp!  This six day camp is for girls, trans and gender creative youth from ages 11 to 18. This camp aims to give youth the opportunity to learn a new instrument (or new techniques on an old one) and express themselves in creative and artistic ways.  AMAZING facilitators will guide and coach the campers through a week that is designed to build confidence, leadership and teamwork skills.  

2021 Camp Dates are August 8th-12th (9am to 4pm) and the showcase will be during the evening of August 13th at 7pm at The Playhouse.

She Said Feck Records is excited to release Tortoise the Hare and the Millionaire’s first single ‘At the Crossroads’ off their upcoming LP ‘Yard Sale’.  Tortoise the Hare and the Millionaire have been steadily making waves throughout Atlantic Canada since their self titled EP release in 2018 while playing a host of Atlantic Festivals including Harvest Music Festival, FollyFest, Cloggeroo, Area 506, ECMA’s, Living Roots Music Festival, 506 Music Festival and many more.

Le Gala de la chanson de Caraquet a dévoilé la sélection de ses finalistes 2022. Un total de dix finalistes et deux réservistes ont été sélectionnés devant un jury composé de Joseph Edgar, Dave Puhacz et Mélissa Lavergne.

Dans la catégorie auteur-compositeur-interprète, deux des finalistes sont de la Nouvelle-Écosse, soit Michael Saulnier de Meteghan et Vickie Deveau de Grosses Coques, et deux sont du Nouveau-Brunswick, Myriam Arseneau de Saint-Laurent et Maude Sonier de Russellville. Les réservistes sont les Néo Brunswickois Myriam Thomas et Anthony Robichaud.

Dans la catégorie Interprète, les trois finalistes, tous du Nouveau-Brunswick, sont Samantha Curry de Néguac, Leo Rafael de Campbellton et Marielle Fontaine de Moncton.
