After Moncton in 2015, MNB’s new Festival 506 will be hosted by Miramichi in 2016

Miramichi, June 19, 2015- Music NB announced an updated vision regarding it's annual event. Previously named MNB Festival, the newly rebranded Festival 506 will offer New Brunswick artists the opportunity to be seen, to network and to further their develop their career in an event that is now, more than ever, accessible to the public.

Music NB also announced that the city of Miramichi will be hosting the 2016 edition of the event, bringing New Brunswick artists and regional and national industry professionals together, to the delight of the community of Miramichi.  

"As a city councillor, anytime we can bring a high profile event to our city it is great for business and raises our profile."  Peggy McLean, City councillor with the City of Miramichi.

"To have this event in my hometown is an amazing opportunity for fellow musicians to play a new market, attract new fans and it is also great for local establishments to see bands and artists and perhaps do business with them." said Terry Whalen, local Miramichi musician and MNB member.

"Terry came to me with the idea to bid for the event, we ran with it and have been successful. It was a real grassroots effort and this will be good for Miramichi on many levels." adds Paddy Quinn, Host for the radio program The 506 and co-host of the East Coast Countdown.

Festival 506 will be held in Moncton this fall on October 15-18, 2015 and in Miramichi in October of 2016.

Après Moncton en 2015, Miramichi accueillera le nouveau Festival 506 de Musique NB en 2016
 
 
Miramichi, 19 juin 2015 – Musique NB a annoncé le renouveau de son festival annuel. Anciennement appelé Festival MNB, le nouveau Festival 506 offrira comme toujours l’occasion aux artistes de l’industrie musicale Nouveau-Brunswick de se faire voir, échanger et discuter de l’industrie dans un évènement ouvert au public plus que jamais.
 
Par la même occasion, Musique NB a annoncé le choix de Miramichi comme ville hôte de  l’édition 2016 de l’évènement qui rassemblera l’ensemble de l’industrie musicale de la province, ce qui ravit la communauté de Miramichi.
                 
« En tant que conseillère municipale, quand on peut apporter chez-nous un évènement de cette envergure dans notre ville, c’est très bon pour les affaires et ça nous met en valeur. »  affirme Peggy McLean, conseillère municipale de la ville de Miramichi.
 
Pour sa part, le directeur du Carrefour communautaire Beausoleil, Marc Allain, témoigne de sa fierté d’accueillir le Festival 506 chez-eux. « Nous sommes ravis de jouer un rôle clé en 2016. Nous avons des installations dont nous sommes fier et nous attendons avec impatience d’accueillir le reste du Nouveau-Brunswick pour partager leurs talents. » explique Monsieur Allain. « Miramichi saura accueillir avec brio en mettant l’accent sur les forces des nos multiples cultures, incluant la communauté francophone. »
 
Le Festival 506 aura lieu à Moncton cet automne du 15 au 18 octobre 2015 et à Miramichi en octobre 2016.
