MEMF 2016 Dance Event

Thursday, July 14 | 7:30 pm | Harrison Parlor, Lathrop Hall

We are pleased to announce the Madison Early Music Festival dance event, Elizabethan Revels, a Dance Party!, will take place on Thursday, July 14 at 7:30 pm in the Harrison Parlor of Lathrop Hall. This event is open to the public, $10 cash at the door.*

The influence of Queen Elizabeth I on dance culture was profound. While her entire court was expected to know the intricacies of musical and dancing arts, this evening of dance will be relaxed, enlightening, and immense fun! Dance instruction will be provided by Jane Peck with music provided by MEMF faculty. See you there!

*Please note: This event is free for participants in the MEMF workshops.

Thanks For Attending Our Annual Fundraiser!

We want to thank those of you who joined us for the MEMF Benefit in May! Over 80 MEMF friends enjoyed Shakespearean-themed  hors d’oeuvres, mead, a program of John Dowland music for lute and voice, and the chance to get a picture with William Shakespeare. Click here to view some photos from the evening.

Thanks to your generosity, over $5,000 was raised to support expenses related to bringing in this year’s incredible concert artists. Many thanks, again!
