The idea for online Spanish classes

In April, 2018 a very difficult socio-political crisis arose in Nicaragua, perhaps the most complicated one in the last 30 years.  As a result, life for many Nicaraguans had to change, with some fleeing to other nations to seek a safer quality of life.  Meanwhile others still in Nicaragua have lost their jobs due to the current situation.

Because of the economic difficulties, Planting Hope had to let some of our staff go and is currently promoting new entrepreneurship ideas to support our former and present staff. From this, came the idea of Nicaraguans teaching Spanish online, which gives Mr. Milton Armas and Mrs. Cindy Melendez the opportunity to earn a living in spite of the crisis. Cindy and Milton will teach Spanish online for a "pay-what-you-can" donation to foreigners who are interested in learning the language and the culture.  You can pay what you are able and this will help support the salaries of our staff, and hopefully you'll learn and practice Spanish as the same time.

We hope you'll join us in this noble cause!
