State Board of Education Meeting
The state Board of Education will meet at 9:30 a.m. tomorrow to consider a series of waivers and recommendations from state schools Superintendent Joy Hofmeister, including a shift to remote learning for the remainder of the school year beginning April 6.
We described most of the waiver requests and recommendations in yesterday's email. You can see the full agenda here. The board meeting will be virtual and streamed on the SDE facebook page. The board will accept not accept public comments during the meeting but comments in advance via email to Terrie.Cheadle@sde.ok.gov.
We'll discuss the outcome of Wednesday's state board meeting and its implication for school districts during a member call at 5 p.m. tomorrow. Please check your email for log-in details. Oklahoma Library of Digital Resources
As districts shift focus to remote instruction, please check out the Oklahoma Library of Digital Resources. The Oklahoma Library of Digital Resources is an innovative initiative to provide Oklahoma educators, parents and families with high-quality, interactive teaching resources.There are 51 courses, pre-k through high school. Oklahoma teachers have curated the digital resources, and created sample lessons, ensuring the materials are aligned to the state’s new academic standards.
