Transportation Projects Raise Bar on Walkability, Safety, Vibrancy and Choices

Recently, Midtown residents and workers came together for a special community event offering a preview of actionable projects that can propel Midtown forward as a more walkable, safer, multi-modal and more vibrant district. Midtown’s Public Safety Team Relocates Operations Center

Midtown Alliance is moving the HQ for its public safety program to a new location at 6th and Peachtree Streets. Learn more about their new operations center + a public safety update.

7th Street Converted to Two-Way Access

July brought about completion of the conversion of 7th Street—between West Peachtree Street and Piedmont Avenue—from one-way to two-way traffic, further enhancing east-west travel in Midtown. Read on for more about the street's new look, plus info about a planned conversion for 13th Street.

Construction Funding Secured for New 15th Street Extension

Midtown Alliance's long-term efforts to break up the "superblock" at 15th Street have received a boost, thanks to commitments from local, regional and state partners. Learn about our plans to create a new access corridor between West Peachtree Street and Williams Street.

Capital Projects Update

Midtown Alliance continues to work on a variety of projects throughout the district, including enhancements to the Peachtree Street Bridges, streetscaping on Peachtree, sidewalk repairs and more. Read our full construction update.

Game On at 10th & Peachtree

For your enjoyment, we've recently added a cornhole set with bean bags to the 10th Street Park, which also includes chairs, cafe tables, and a badminton net with rackets. Head over to the park located at the corner of 10th & Peachtree Streets to play a game or two with your family, friends or coworkers.
