Wesley Walks to End Alzheimer's

Wesley Community residents and employees gathered at SUNY Adirondack to take part in the Walk to End Alzheimer's on Saturday, October 13th. Held annually in more than 600 communities nationwide, the Walk to End Alzheimer’s is the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research. Between the walk and fundraising events leading up to it, The Wesley Community raised $5,182 for The Alzheimer's Association! Thank you to everyone who took part and helped raise funds for this important cause!

Wesley Welcomes Chief Information Officer

The Wesley Community welcomes Jeff Cohn as our new Chief Information Officer. In his role, Jeff will be responsible for supporting and facilitating the needs and strategic growth of The Wesley Community’s technology and business functions. This will include the enhancement of Wesley’s information technology plan; maintenance and operation of information security; operating various business applications; and developing technology solutions throughout the Wesley campus. Long Term Care Seminar Planned

The Wesley Foundation invites you to "A Conversation About Long Term Care" on Tuesday, November 13th, at 6pm. This informational seminar features Tara Anne Pleat, Esq. of Wilcenski & Pleat, PLLC, and Brian Johnson, MBA, CLTC of Advisor Insurance Brokers.

The presenters will cover what long term care planning is, and the why and how families and advisers approach planning. There will be a discussion of the legal and financial strategies families consider, including the use of Insurance, Trusts and other important planning documents.

SPAC Lecture Luncheon Presented by Wesley

The Wesley Community was proud to sponsor a day of lecture, shopping and dining at this year’s 14th Annual Fall Lecture Luncheon, hosted by the SPAC Action Council. Held on October 18th, the day started at Spa Little Theater where featured speaker Will Schwalbe indulged attendees on one of life’s greatest pleasures…reading! Afterward, there was boutique shopping and a festive fall lunch at the Hall of Springs.

Will Schwalbe is the author of three books, “Send: Why People Email So Badly and How to Do it Better,” “The End of Your Life Book Club” and “Books for Living.” For more information, please visit the SPAC website.
