The holidays are here, and 2017 is almost upon us. For my readers and me, the new year promises to be an exciting one, because . . .
Freefall is on the Way!
'Tis the Season
The suspense began with Downfall. It accelerated in Windfall. Now it explodes in . . .
Young attorney Pen Wilkinson's life was changed in an instant by a car accident, which killed her young niece and turned Pen into a paraplegic. Four years later, Pen's now-estranged sister calls with horrifying news: Her surviving child, a teenage son named Kenny, has vanished. Pen abandons her preparation for a major trial and travels across the country to search for Kenny, a computer prodigy. She contends with other players, including the FBI, a team of deadly mercenaries, and a hacker backed by Russian thugs, in a frantic search for Kenny, who holds the key to preventing a cyber disaster that could send the world economy into . . .
The third installment in the Pen Wilkinson series promises the same action and suspense you enjoyed in Downfall and Windfall. The paper book is available now for pre-order on Amazon. As the release date gets closer, I'll provide you with details of my launch and other author events.
And Now, For Something Completely Different . . .
When you think of my books, what phrase comes immediately to mind? Culinary mysteries, right?
Well, maybe not. But all that will change in June. I was asked to submit a story for an anthology of food-themed mysteries by Minnesota mystery authors, edited by Twin City mystery maven and culinary artist Rhonda Gilliland. The story features Pen Wilkinson solving a mystery with the aid of her family, and of her friend, FBI agent John Gibson. Also featured will be a tasty recipe from Pen's Grandma Doris (it actually comes from my late mother). This anthology is a follow-up to last year's successful release of Cooked to Death: Tales of Crime and Cookery, edited by Rhonda and Michael Allan Mallory. Stay tuned for more details.
On April 1st, I'll be participating, along with other authors, in the 30th Anniversary Bash at Once Upon a Crime mystery bookstore in Minneapolis. Hope to see you all there. Watch this space for more details.
Best wishes to all of you for a happy and blessed holiday season and new year!
