I hope you’re enjoying spring, and just as important, enjoying some good books. I am hard at work on the next Pen Wilkinson novel, which I hope to release in the spring of 2017. But in the meantime, I hope to find time to get out and meet some more readers and booksellers during the summer.
You're Not the Only One:
Reader reaction to Windfall continues to be very positive. A sampling:
“‘Windfall’ would be a welcome addition to any library for fans of corporate thrillers.”
--Nick Rossi, Reading Other People
“The story is suspenseful and you get enough edge of your seat moments to keep you engrossed in the pages right to the end of the book.”
--Marika Charalambous, Mystery Sequels
Losing the ownership of a great mystery bookstore is difficult. Losing a friend and fixture of the mystery community is harder. Mystery Fans in Minnesota and across the country received a double dose of sadness this spring with the passing of Gary Schulze, co-owner of the Once Upon a Crime mystery bookstore in Minneapolis. Gary was a friendly, knowledgeable, supportive presence throughout the time I’ve been in the mystery-writing business, and will be greatly missed. His death came only days after he and his wife and co-owner Pat Frovarp sold the store.

Okay, this interview show was not recorded in my basement. It was actually taped in my living room. It appears on cable access TV, on a show devoted to books. Past guests have included the likes of William Kent Krueger. The bottom line is, I got to hold forth for an hour on my books and experiences. You can’t beat that. Check it out:

If you liked Windfall
take a minute to say so on Amazon or Goodreads. Reviews are always welcome. In fact, authors really, really like to get reviews on Amazon and Goodreads.
