May 2015 Market Update
TGIF!! May was a busy month here in the Valley of the Sun. An unseasonably cool spring finally just gave way to predictable triple-digit summer days. Mother's Day, Spa Week, Restaurant Week & Memorial Day came and went.
Real Estate is very strong. Rising values, rents, prices & sales volume is catching the attention of many. I was interviewed last week by our local NBC affiliate for a piece about rising rents- causes, impacts, etc. I haven't seen it yet, but hope I painted an accurate picture of what's happening here.
I haven't seen the sheer volume of activity like this since my days of listing bank-owned homes years ago. I'm on the road a lot & working long hours. Last month, center needle in the chart above was 127.7. If it hits 135, we'll be in a "Frenzy Market"!
In this update, check out my blogs about the dollars & cents of "location", the pitfalls of lowball offers and deal-breakers every buyer should know before buying a home. Check out my featured & upcoming listings. There's lots to see!
All this aside, I've become acutely aware of just how short life is. Jobs, houses & things come and go. It's family, friends and experiences that make up "life". Please don't take that for granted... Have a great weekend!
If you have specific questions, would like me to share property-specific info or just want to say "hi", please just call, text or email me. I'd love to hear from you!
