Welcome to the Autumn edition of the Regional Outlook newsletter. It's been an extremely tough summer, with landholders battling bush fires and extreme temperatures across our region. We look forward to milder conditions as we approach Autumn, and cross our fingers for rain.

Assisting farmers affected by bushfires
Local Land Services staff from Central Tablelands, Central West, Hunter, North Coast and Northern Tablelands regions are continuing to offer support to landholders affected by recent Sir Ivan, Kains Flat and Ilford fires. Read more

Three Day Sickness alert
Hunter Local Land Services District Veterinarians are asking producers to monitor cattle for signs of Bovine Ephemeral Fever (or Three Day Sickness) as the disease has been detected on properties in the Manning since December.

Planning is underway for a $150,000 conservation project to restore native vegetation and improve the quality of the Hunter’s drinking water.
