It's that time of year again, the holiday season! December brings families and friends together to celebrate and, in many cases, eat cookies. As you enjoy sharing these moments and tasty treats, consider how wonderful it would be to spend time together again in the spring, as a team in our Tree House Tour de Cookie! After all, time with family, friends, and cookies is not just for the holidays. As riders you will be supporting our efforts to help families just like yours and you will have a great time in the process! So, create a team like so many have already done, including Team DIFZ of Digital Infuzion in Gaithersburg and the Women & Bicycles Cookie Monstresses. If you get a group of 10 or more to commit to a team before January 1st you'll even get an additional early bird registration discount! To learn more click here.
All of us at The Tree House wish you a safe and joyous holiday season
and the best of everything in the year ahead!
We want to thank Qiagen Sciences for its creative fundraising for The Tree House! Qiagen volunteers (the Qia-Crocheters) crocheted two baby afghans and raffled them off. All proceeds from the raffle were donated to The Tree House. Over $500 was raised from 6 Qiagen sites nationally! Kimberly Fognano of Qiagen presented the donation to us, the check being accepted by Tom Grazio, Director of The Tree House.
So many fabulous donations came in to The Tree House over the last month, both financial and in-kind. We want to thank all of you who support the work we do through financial donations as well as donations of snacks, pajamas, coats, and Christmas gifts for our less fortunate children. We also want to thank those who are currently planning events to benefit The Tree House.
Once again, the families and teachers of Rockville Nursery School and Kindergarten have showered The Tree House with coats, pajamas, shoes, hats, and gloves. Gail Goldfarb, Director of Rockville Nursery, is pictured here with some of the donations.
For the second year in a row, Anna Jamerson, manager of the Starbucks on Paseo Drive in North Bethesda, has collected toys and other items for The Tree House. Stop by if you have a chance. We've retrieved these donations but she's still collecting more!
Angela Yarnell dropped off hats, gloves, scarves, socks, snack packs, and hygiene kits collected by The Derwood Bible Church's Women's Ministry for The Tree House. Here is just a portion of the beautiful donation!
Many congregants from Temple Beth Ami adopted Tree House families for the holidays. Even the poorest of the children seen at The Tree House will now have wonderful gifts!

2014 Tree House Tour de Cookie shirts* are still available in large sizes!
A donation of $20 or more will allow you to request a shirt as a gift of our appreciation. If you are interested, please click here, and let us know your size in the comment section. We'll let you know if it's available. The 2014 shirts do run on the large side, so think 1 size smaller than normal. *photo is of children's shirt, which was not moisture-wicking
