December was a Spectacular Month at The Tree House!
The outpouring of generosity from the community has touched all of our hearts. Digital Infuzion collected and organized their amazing holiday gift drive donations for 15 families with army-like precision (even bringing extra gifts for families late to the program and for The Tree House itself), Temple Beth Ami rallied their congregants and delivered beautiful gifts for 16 more families, individual donors picked up another 13 families, and Qiagen employees, along with more individual donors fulfilled our Amazon wish list wishes. In the meantime, The Montgomery Village Kiwanis Club was holding a wine tasting, selling White House ornaments, and gift wrapping, all to benefit The Tree House. It didn't stop there. Rockville Nursery School and Kindergarten collected new pajamas, as did the Lakelands Community Association. Together they gathered over 150 new pairs of PJs! To top it all off, our dear friends at The Alliance to the Montgomery County Medical Society brought a $1,000 donation and some cuddly stuffed animals. We thank you all, those specifically mentioned here, and those not, for all you have done for us and all you continue to do. You make a huge difference in children's lives. We see it every day.
We are thrilled to announce that The Tree House CAC has received a $3000 grant from the MAXIMUS Foundation!
“On behalf of the MAXIMUS Foundation, I am proud to provide this award to The Tree House Child Advocacy Center,” said John Boyer, MAXIMUS Foundation Chairman. “The Tree House and its staff embody the values that the MAXIMUS Foundation strives to achieve through its grant making program – promoting personal growth and self-sufficiency through improved health, augmented child and family development and community development.
