From Carine M. Feyten, Ph.D.
Texas Woman's masthead

Dear Texas Woman's University Community,

I have received a number of concerns from parents, alumni and others worried that I have banned certain season’s greetings such as “Merry Christmas” or “Happy Holidays,” but nothing could be farther from the truth. I believe these questions and concerns have come from a number of recent media sources.

Please read the official university response to the concerns these media sources have incited, and know that I am committed to the mission of the university, and to "embrace diversity,” not stifle it! From Diwali and Kwanzaa to Hanukkah and Christmas, I wish you all the happiest of holidays.

With warmest wishes,

Carine M. Feyten, Ph.D.
Chancellor and President
