Online forum for GPs - Deferred Care - What's the Cost?
An invitation is extended to general practitioners to attend a forum featuring guest speakers and a panel discuss on Deferred Care - What's the Cost?
Over the last two years of the COVID-19 pandemic in Gippsland, we have seen:
- Decreased rates of cancer screening
- Increased rates of family violence
- Increased workplace stress due to safety concerns
- Increased number of people relying on government payments for an income
- An increase in people who report being isolated
- Increased demand for homelessness services
- Disease deterioration among residents of aged care homes
The health system is currently experiencing challenges due to increasing Emergency Department demand and consumers are experiencing difficulty in accessing primary care.
This forum will discuss the issues being faced both across the state and in Gippsland.
