Advices for megacities (a population in excess of 10 million people)
For the first time more people live in cities than in the country side. This trend is set to intensify. Each month five million people are moving to cities. And when you consider that the world population grows by two billion the next 25 years, administrations have to consider how to manage the city of the future.
In 2020 at least 50% of buildings will be Green and Intelligent built with BIPV. 20% of the buildings will be Net Zero Buildings.
In 2020 Intelligent Communication Systems will connect homes, offices, iphones, cars and connected transport systems (trains, metro's, city cars, bikes, harbor transports and airports) on a Single Wireless IT Platform.
SMART, Circular Governance
In 2020 a lot of governments will also have implemented smart planning tools and systems like a city communication system including its telecommunication infrastructure (including telephony, broadband and wireless). The ability to access and communicate information is central in a modern economy and key to a safe and secure city. World's renewable power capacity 2014
China leads the world in renewable power capacity, with the US some way behing in second place. Germany comes next, but only if hydroelectric power is excluded from the calculation. If Hydro is included, then Brazil takes the third spot.
