World Communion Sunday

Sunday worship at 11:15am -
In-Person and on YouTube
Boonton UMC: A fun, musical, relevant, relational, and compassionate church
where people find hope, healing, and wholeness.
Two weeks ago, we talked about dreaming on in spite of the setbacks with the story of Joseph. Last week, we talked about nightmares and how to deal with them using the story of Daniel and King Nebuchadnezzar. And this week, we hear about a vision in Acts 10 that Peter dreamed; a vision he was given, not once, but three times. It was a dream that challenged the status quo and what he had always thought to be true and acceptable. And yet, it opened up a whole new world of possibility when he accepted this new reality and invitation that God had given him.

On this World Communion Sunday, as we join our hearts and minds in worship together, we ask God to help us dream of a world where all God's beloved people are seen as equal, worthy, and valuable. And we open ourselves to new insights and revelations that God is sending our way, as we, like Peter, open ourselves up to the dreams and visions that God has implanted within us.

Flags representing nations and cultures all across our world will be on our altar this Sunday to celebrate World Communion Sunday, and we'll be sharing in communion together with this global perspective in mind.
Join us for an unforgettable Sunday as we continue in our newest series. Whether in-person or on YouTube, we hope you can join us at 11:15am this Sunday at Boonton UMC!
