Boonton UMC

April 3, 2022
5th Sunday of Lent

Sunday worship at 11:15am -
In-Person and on YouTube
Boonton UMC: A fun, musical, relevant, relational, and compassionate church
where people find hope, healing, and wholeness.
Today, many people will be playing practical jokes on others. But one reality that is no joke is that God leads us and delivers us. Which is why we pray each week, "Lead us not into Penn Station, but deliver us from"...wait a minute. What we meant to say is, "Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one (or evil)."

Many are the temptations and trials all around. Strong are the forces of darkness in our world. And yet, even stronger is the love and light of our God, who stands with us in the midst of all that seeks to tempt us, distract us, or tear us down.

This week, we approach the communion table too, a place where we are most mindful of God's salvation and deliverance that leads us beyond our sin and into new life.

Join us this Sunday for another special service as we not only celebrate communion, but delve into familiar words for an unfamiliar time and bring the next line of the Lord's Prayer to life all the more.

Whether in-person or on YouTube,
we look forward to seeing you at 11:15am Sunday!

Hungry to Whole

Inspired by “The Daniel Plan” book and John Wesley’s Holy Clubs, Hungry to Whole is grounded in Psalm 107:9 – “God satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things” (NIV). Our prayer is that those who come hungry each week would leave whole in more than one way.
