Boonton UMC

March 20, 2022
3rd Sunday of Lent

Sunday worship at 11:15am -
In-Person and on YouTube
Boonton UMC: A fun, musical, relevant, relational, and compassionate church
where people find hope, healing, and wholeness.
If you are healthy, have a job, own a home, have a stocked kitchen, and a healthy 401k, why would you ever need to pray, “Give us this day our daily bread”?

Although many may wonder what praying this prayer means for their life and context, as is typical with the other parts of the Lord's Prayer we've been delving into, there's much more here than meets the eye.

Every good gift we enjoy comes from God and God’s gracious hands. We don’t have anything we did not receive. And whether we are financially well off or struggling to pay the monthly bills, we are completely and utterly dependent on God to provide us with all that we need. And, as children of God, we do not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.

Join us for the first Sunday of spring as we continue reflecting and delving into familiar words for an unfamiliar time. Each line of Lord's Prayer is jam-packed with immense meaning, and we pray you can come away from this week's worship service not only with a greater understanding of the line we're focusing on, but with a greater commitment to living this prayer out in your daily life and our world.

Whether in-person or on YouTube,
we look forward to seeing you at 11:15am Sunday!

Hungry to Whole

is In-Person Once Again!

Inspired by “The Daniel Plan” book and John Wesley’s Holy Clubs, Hungry to Whole is grounded in Psalm 107:9 – “God satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things” (NIV). Our prayer is that those who come hungry each week would leave whole in more than one way.

Join us for all that's ahead this month!
