we look forward to seeing you at 11:15am Sunday!

*Special Note: As of last Sunday, masks are no longer required for those coming to in-person worship. Whether you choose to continue wearing a mask or not, please continue to respect the personal decisions and preferences of all those who come to in-person worship*

A Prayer for Ukraine
(written by the Methodist Church in the UK)

Holy and Gracious God

We pray for the people of the Ukraine and the people of Russia; for their countries and their leaders.

We pray for all those who are afraid; that your everlasting arms hold them in this time of great fear.

We pray for all those who have the power over life and death; that they will choose for all people life, and life in all its fullness.

We pray for those who choose war; that they will remember that you direct your people to turn our swords into ploughshares and seek for peace.

We pray for leaders on the world stage; that they are inspired by the wisdom and courage of Christ.

Above all, Lord, today we pray for peace for Ukraine.

And we ask this in the name of your blessed Son.

Lord, have mercy.

Amen.

Hungry to Whole

Resuming In-Person in March!

Inspired by “The Daniel Plan” book and John Wesley’s Holy Clubs, Hungry to Whole is grounded in Psalm 107:9 – “God satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things” (NIV). Our prayer is that those who come hungry each week would leave whole in more than one way.

We will be in-person again starting Wednesday, March 9th! It will be hosted at Montville UMC with a potluck dinner from 6:30-8:00pm. We’ll have a special topic and presentation called "Stewards of the Earth.” All are welcome!

Invitation for

Black History Month
Since it's early years, the Methodist church has been an advocate for social justice, standing up for and speaking on behalf of those who are most marginalized and those who are often discriminated against.

As we seek to more fully "do justice, love mercy, and walk humbly with our God," Discipleship Ministries invites us this month to sign up to receive a daily prayer for anti-racism. They share that, “'United Methodists Stand Against Racism’ is not simply a slogan for our church. It is a call to radical change in practice and structures and ways of seeing, in the church and in the world. We commit to a practice of prayer to keep us focused on ending the sin of racism and its effects on God’s people of color and all people.”
