PARK CITY CELEBRATIONS
A weekend of food, fun and fireworks!


We are thrilled to announce that Park City's Independence Day celebrations are back on track for Monday, July 4! This will hopefully include the usual parade, games, food, fun, and fireworks. Specific details for the events are still in-progress, so make sure to keep an eye on the Park City's municipal website for more information in the coming weeks.

131st FOUNDERS DAY 
Midway  |  June 4  |  8 am - 2 pm

The charming Hamlet of Midway was incorporated in 1891, and Founder's Day offers a full day of celebrations, followed by a week of celebratory activities throughout the Heber Valley.

8:00 am - Noon:  Help beautify Midway by planting flowers in the local parks. Meet at the pavilion behind the town square or at any park or city office. Please bring planting tools, gloves, and a smile to help beautify the Midway community!  Anyone who helps gets a raffle ticket.

Noon - 2 pm: Enjoy food, fun, and music at town square! The fun includes a raffle with prizes, food, music, kids' craft table, bounce house, and face painting.

Hosted by the Park City Gallery Association, the Last Friday Gallery Stroll is a fun, free event highlighting local, national, and international artists and special exhibits at art galleries throughout town. On the last Friday of each month, from 6 - 9 pm, 19 local galleries open their doors to the community to enjoy light refreshments and admire the latest art installations.

In addition to the flower barn, garden boutique, and garden café, Park City Gardens at Park City Nursery offers an herb planting workshop and native plant sale to get your summer started on the right foot! You can also enjoy their 4th annual "Plein Air Paint Out," which is a collaboration with Gallery Mar where art and garden lovers gather to mingle, watch artists paint, hear garden songs, and even enjoy a pop up ballet experience.

MONSTER DRAWING RALLY

This is a partnership fundraising event for the Arts Council of Park City and Summit County along with the Kimball Art Center, where artists will create artwork LIVE for 50 minutes. Finished pieces are immediately available for purchase when the timer runs out. This exciting event will be held outdoors at Kimball Art Center, and includes live music, food, and a cash bar.

The Latino Arts Festival is a cultural experience and a beautiful display of visual arts and crafts, live music, film screenings, performances, and food across multiple venues throughout Park City.

WASATCH PLEIN AIR PARADISE

The festival features a main ‘Plein Air’ competition and local ‘Paint Outs,' as well as a 90-minute ‘Quick Draw and Auction’ that is a favorite of attendees as they watch amazing artists complete a masterwork in mere minutes!

Half Marathon - September 10

Park City Trail Series is a four-race-series that runs from June to September. It starts with a 5K in June and works up to a half marathon by the final race in September. While there is no big prize money or first place medals, winners get bragging rights and their name immortalized in the results.

THE WASATCH 50 RACE
June 11  |  Heber City

The Wasatch 50 course is a truly epic route through some of Utah’s beautiful high country. This 25 mile loop (+/-) features roughly 3000 feet of climbing per lap and tackles almost the entirety of the Coyote Loop trail, starting and finishing at the UVU Wasatch Campus. The course features prolonged climbing, ripping singletrack through Aspens, and rock-strewn descents. This is a true mountain bike epic!

The Woodward Park City Race Series is a series of four bike races throughout the summer open to riders of all abilities for ages 6 and up. Each race will be set on a different trail that is announced the day of the race.

This event will begin and end at Heber City Park. The 10K begins at 7pm, and the fun run will start at 7:15 pm. Bring your strollers, bikes, scooters, and costumes. Make it fun for the whole family!

VALKYRIE MULTI-SPORT RELAY

The Valkyrie Relay™ is Utah’s only multi- relay race, spanning nearly 100 miles of Utah’s spectacular Wasatch Back. The event pits teams of up to nine competitors against each other, racing against the clock between trail running, kayak/canoe paddling, marathon, mountain biking, stand-up paddle boarding, open water swimming, and road cycling.

This fun run starting at Park City Mountain Resort has a wonderful history, going back to the early 1980's. This is a FUNDRAISER for Park City Ski and Snowboard.
