Excellence in Ministry Pilot Program

Pastors in the Southwest Region with less than five years’ ministerial experience are invited to apply for the Excellence in Ministry (EiM) pilot program. Sponsored by Pension Fund of the Christian Church, this program is designed to equip early-career pastors with the tools they need to improve financial literacy and alleviate the financial stress that inhibits effective pastoral leadership. As part of this program, Pension Fund is offering a select group of early career pastors financial relief grants totaling $4,000.

These grants can be used to:
• Pay off existing debt;
• Establish an emergency fund;
• Contribute to a retirement account.

To be considered for this grant, you must submit an application to Pension Fund by August 19, 2016.

As part of this program, those receiving a grant will be required to participate in the Financial Literacy Academy, (see article below) sponsored by Pension Fund. These sessions will occur on October 21-22, 2016, in Fort Worth, Texas. Attendance at all events is required for grant recipients.
