Disciple Oaks Internships - Applications Due March 31

Disciple Oaks Camp & Retreat is offering up to three positions for summer interns. As long as you or 19 or over and have been out of high school for one year, you can apply. Interns are integral to the success of our camping ministry. They are often the behind-the-scenes servant leaders who make camp run smoothly. While interns are at camp, their room and board is provided in addition to their salary.

At its foundation, our summer internship is about service. It is challenging, rewarding, and can be the best summer job you’ve ever had. For these and many other reasons, we hope you will decide to join us in this adventure.

If you think you’re up for the challenge, please
review the attachment for more details and return the application to Rev. Scott Miller at discipleoaks@gmail.com by 5:00 pm on March 31, 2017.

"To Be a Faithful Christian in a Secular Culture"

In a time when both conservatives and liberals seem to be running from God’s will, we sense that this is an important topic! There will be translation available for all services, into English when the services are Spanish, into Spanish when the services are English.

Those who wish to attend only the evening services can do so free of charge.  Registration includes four meals and inspiring messages, workshops, and worship during the day.

In addition to the speakers announced on the flyer, Rev. Enrique Ocasio of Christian Church Foundation and Rev. Rosario Ibarra of Church Extension will be joining us. They are available to preach or lead Bible Studies at any Disciples church (English or Spanish-speaking) on Sunday, June 18. Please let me know if you would like to have one of them at your church.

Thank you in advance for your prayers and for your help in letting people know about this important event.

In Christ,
