LONG RANGE PLANNING
This is the time of year many of us think about what lies ahead and make plans or resolutions about improvements we’d like to make for our lives. So this is also a good time for our similar exercise to make long range plans reflecting our hopes and aspirations for First Central!

Don't forget January Book Club will be Thursday, Jan 19, 7 pm, at Jennifer Forbes-Baily's home. Our book is "In the Garden of Beasts: Love, Terror, and an American Family in Hitler's Berlin" by Eric Larson. The Omaha library has this book as a "Book Club Kit," which means the library has provided multiple copies for us to use. So if you don't have your book yet, let Jennifer know and she'll get a copy to you. Still plenty time to read it.

Have you ever experienced a crisis of meaning and purpose?  Or has the world ceased to make sense?  We are called to be part of God's epic adventure which requires courage and faith.  Let's Risk the Adventure in our Epiphany worship series, beginning this Sunday.

January 8 is Baptism of the Christ Sunday, our annual new year profession of our faith and renewal of our vows.  A good reminder of who we are called to be.  Scott will be preaching "Possibilities Unfolding" from Isaiah 42:1-9.
