Don't Let Lockdown Get You Down!

Yes, the UK has entered a third national lockdown, and yes the weather is gloomy, but this only gives us the opportunity to band together as a community and overcome this together!

CoEJ has a host of activities coming up to support you, educate you, help us understand each other better, and bring us all closer as a community.

Through this Workshop, the CoEJ Wellbeing Network aims to enable you to support people in the community, including family, co-workers, friends, community members. Ideal for volunteers making calls to vulnerable people, or those who simply want to learn some new skills and practice them.

This program offers individuals the opportunity to develop skills to better their own mental health and the mental health of community members, and in doing so, adding value to the conversations already taking place. Practice and learn:

1. Stress Container Model
2. ALGEE Model for Wellbeing Triage
3. Phone Communication Skills
4. Questioning Skills
5. Active Listening
6. Empathy
7. Signposting

The Workshop is facilitated by Br. Ammar Farishta of Fitrus Training, a certified Mental Health First Aider who specialises in mental health and capacity building training, and Sr. Fatema Rahemani, a primary school teacher who has completed her undergraduate studies in psychology and her postgraduate studies in child development.

Unlock the Potential of your Marriage

We usually invest in our health and education, but do we invest in one of our most important relationships: Marriage?

This course will help you explore and understand your personality to deepen your relationship and create more harmony in your marriage. See your marriage flourish by understanding personality theories.

While this course will revolve around understanding the self and the differences with your spouse in the context of marriage, the theory will be based on temperament and type, which is the model followed in courses such as the Neuro-Psychology of Learning (NPL) and the Leadership Development Programme (LDP).
