Meet ASEM's Associate Executive Director

In August, Dr. Dave Wyrick, PE, PEM, was named as ASEM's first Associate Executive Director.  Dave is a former President of ASEM and member of the Board of Directors.  He helped start student chapters at Texas Tech University (USA) and at Al Akhawayn University in Ifrane (Morocco).

Dave has represented ASEM at the convocation of engineering societies hosted by the National Academy of Engineering in Washington, DC.  He presented an invited keynote speech on ASEM’s professional certification programs to the meeting of the International Council of Engineering and Technological Societies in Beijing in 2014.

Dave has experience in the energy and manufacturing industries, and has worked in academia for over 25 years in the United States, Sweden, and Morocco.  He is currently serving as the William L. McKnight Distinguished Visiting Professor in Technology Development at the University of Minnesota Duluth.

Congratulations, Dave!
ASEM Transitioning Headquarters

The Executive Committee of the Board of Directors, with input and suggestions from board members, has been working on a plan for some time to design what could fairly be called the “Home Office of the Future” to enable our society to grow into an internationally recognized top-tier professional society of the 21st Century. The culmination of that work is a new home office organization and location as described in the linked announcement.
