Regional Leadership Conference (RLC) Registration is OPEN!

Online Registration for the 2018 Tennessee FBLA Regional Leadership Conferences will be open until 5 p.m. CST on Friday, Dec. 15, 2017. After the Dec. 15 deadline, no changes can be made. Please register your participants before you leave for winter break to avoid last-minute problems when you return to school in January.
Step 1: Go to the online registration website:
Step 2: Click "Registration" to the left of the screen.
Step 3: Enter your log-in credentials.
             Username: FBLA Chapter Number
             Password: tn + your school's 5-digit zip code (i.e. tn37804)

Step 4: Register your school-site testing proctor.
  1. Click "Add New Name."
  2. Type in the proctor's First Name and Last Name.
  3. Select "School Site Proctor" from the Participant Type drop-down menu.
  4. Enter "Proctor" in the Membership Number box.
  5. Type in the proctor's email address.
  6. Type in the proctor's phone number.
  7. Scroll to the bottom of the page; click "Save."
Important Things to Remember:
  • You are welcome to register as many proctors as needed for your students to test efficiently.
  • All proctor instruction emails will be sent on the weekend of Jan. 6-7, 2018.
  • Please verify the correct spelling of your proctor’s email address to prevent delays in testing.
  • All online testing must be administered during the week of Jan. 8-12, 2018, between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. CST each testing day.
  • You are highly encouraged to test your students early in the week. Please avoid waiting until the last day to test your students.
Step 5: Register your members.
  1. Click "Add New Name."
  2. Type in the student's First Name and Last Name.
  3. Type in the student's FBLA Membership ID number.
  4. Select "Student" from the Participant Type drop-down menu.
  5. Select the student's gender.
  6. Select the student's grade.
  7. List any special needs for the student.
  8. Select the student's event.
  9. Scroll to the bottom of the page, click "Save."
  10. Repeat for each competitor.
Step 6: Register additional advisers or chaperones.
  1. Click "Add New Name."
  2. Type in the adviser/chaperone's First Name and Last Name.
  3. Select "Adviser" or "Chaperone" from the Participant Type drop-down menu.
  4. List any special needs for the adviser/chaperone.
  5. Scroll to the bottom of the page, click "Save."
  6. Repeat for each adviser/chaperone.
Step 7: Double-check your chapter's registration.
  1. Click "View Registration".
  2. Scroll down and click "View by Event" above the listing of individual names.
  3. Verify that each member has be registered for the correct event. Suggestion: Print this page and post for student's to review their registered event.
  4. Click "Back to Registration."
Step 8: Submit Registration. Click "Finished Registering."

If you have changes to make, that is fine. Simply log back into the registration system, make any changes/adjustments, and click "Finished Registering" again. You can click "Finished Registering" as many times as between Nov. 15 and Dec. 15, 2017 at 5 p.m. CST.
Your chapter will be financially responsible for all students and advisers entered into the registration system as of 5 p.m. CST on Dec. 15, 2017.

Regional Leadership Conference (RLC) Inclement Weather Plan

In order to prepare for the possibility of weather-related school closings, please carefully read the information below. We will send out text alerts through the REMIND text alert system. You will need to sign up for the text alerts (instructions below) prior to the conference and have this information on hand the morning of the event. An email alert will also be sent to advisers in addition to the text alert.
Regional Conference Cancellation Policy
  • If the school system in the county hosting the conference (Shelby, Madison, Montgomery, Coffee, Rutherford, or Knox) is closed, the conference will be cancelled.
  • If the school system in the county hosting the conference (Shelby, Madison, Montgomery, Coffee, Rutherford, or Knox) is on a one or two hour delay, the conference will be cancelled.
  • If more than 25 percent of the participating schools contact us to say that they cannot come due to weather and/or school closings, the conference will be cancelled.
  • Please see below for information on how to report inclement weather and road conditions as well as instructions on how to sign up to receive text alerts in the event that the conference is cancelled.
Reporting a Cancellation or Delay
Please email, copying your regional conference coordinator, and include the following information:
  • Subject Line: FBLA Regional Conference Weather Alert
  • Body of Email:
    • Specify whether your system has cancelled school or has been placed on either a one or two-hour delay.
    • School Name
    • Adviser Name
Text Alerts
TN FBLA will use the REMIND alert system to alert advisers and judges in each district about conference cancellations or delays. In order to receive the text alert in the event of a delay or cancellation, you must follow the directions below. The phone numbers below are generated by the REMIND system and cannot be used for two-way communication. Those individuals wishing to receive text alerts do not have to register for an account in order to receive alerts. Simply locate the appropriate district below and text the code to the number. This one-way text system is free; data charges may apply from your carrier. The system will be used only to relay important information regarding cancellations or delays to advisers. You should receive a confirmation text indicating that you have successfully signed up to receive alerts.

Steven J. Mitchell will also email advisers if the conference is delayed or cancelled. Please monitor your phone and/or email the evening before and the morning of the event.
Tennessee FBLA State Leadership Conference Qualifiers
If a regional conference is cancelled, test scores will be used to determine competitors advancing to compete at the Tennessee FBLA State Leadership Conference in March. For events that do not have a test (Job Interview, Impromptu Speaking, Intro to Public Speaking, and Public Speaking), all registered regional competitors will be invited to compete at the state conference. 

State Leadership Conference (SLC) Design Contests

Student members may enter one, two, or all three of the 2017-18 SLC design contests. All design entries must meet all design contest guidelines. All design entries must be submitted here by Dec. 1, 2017, at 5 p.m. CST

Tennessee FBLA Membership Campaign Deadline

The Tennessee FBLA Membership Campaign deadline is Dec. 1, 2017. Please submit your rosters today to help our association reach its goal of exceeding 7,000 members this school year. To view your chapter's progress, click here.

Tennessee FBLA Membership Update

Many chapters have already kicked membership recruitment into overdrive! It's never too early to submit your chapter membership rosters or add additional members to be eligible for the various membership campaign awards. Our Tennessee FBLA membership goal is 7,000+ by Dec. 1, 2017. The minimum chapter size required is five student members and one chapter adviser.
So far, Tennessee FBLA currently has 4,335 members as of Nov. 29. Will your chapter add more members and earn one of the Tennessee FBLA membership campaign awards? There’s still time! To view your chapter's progress, click here.

Regional Officer and Scholarship Applications

State Officer and Scholarship Applications

Consider encouraging the most dynamic, emerging leader in your chapter to apply to be a 2018-19 Tennessee FBLA state officer! The application packet is now available on under the “Officer Teams” tab.
The following state scholarship applications must be submitted no later than Feb. 23, 2018, at 5 p.m. CST:

Required CTSO Release Form for 2017-18

All 2017-18 CTSO conference participants must have a signed CTSO release form on file before participation can be granted. Please click here to download a copy of the form. Advisers must keep all release forms in their possession at all times and be prepared to show them at the registration table of any FBLA conference. Attendees without a signed form on file will be sent home from the conference and will be unable to participate.
