Dear Friend,

I am very, very happy to announce that we are – slowly and cautiously – reopening the Berkshire Museum.

Throughout the pandemic, we have prioritized the health and safety of our guests and staff. This remains our primary concern, especially as we watch states across the nation suffer rising rates of infection. To ensure that we are acting responsibly, we’re taking a phased approach to reopening that will allow us to adjust to changing conditions.

For our first two phases, the museum will be open on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays from 10 am to 5 pm, with an hour-long closure for cleaning scheduled from 1 to 2 pm. Phase One, for museum members only, is planned for August 1 through 15 and features the Aquarium only, for those who have missed visiting with our tortoises, piranha, blind cave fish, ball pythons, and poison dart frogs. Timed reservations for “family units” (those who have been quarantining together) provide private access to the Aquarium for forty-five minutes.

Phase Two is scheduled for August 17 through 31 and will include the Aquarium and a last chance to see The Art of Warner Bros Cartoons.

Timed tickets must be reserved in advance at berkshiremuseum.org or 413.443.7171 ext.360. Reservations will become available on July 23. Adults $5; museum members, EBT cardholders, and children under 18 free.

We’ve missed you, and look forward to welcoming you back to the museum soon.

Sincerely,
Jeff Rodgers
