To our gala friends,
Tonight was to be the Blind Tiger Gala to benefit the Berkshire Museum’s education programming, a Prohibition-style event inspired by the centennial passage of the Volstead Act and the dawn of the Roaring Twenties. We’re sorry we cannot be together to celebrate the amazing work the museum does for our community.
We’re impressed with how quickly the museum pivoted to provide fantastic content to all learners—young and old—on the new explore.berkshiremuseum.org, and partnered with local organizations to distribute content to those without consistent access to the internet. Being curious about the world is the cornerstone of the Berkshire Museum, with the goal of promoting understanding of perspectives different than our own: this is now especially critical to our community.
While we cannot be together this evening, we invite you to watch mixologist Kenneth Vanloh present a how-to on creating what was to be the evening’s signature cocktail, the Bee’s Knees. Together, we raise a glass to you, to the community, and to our Berkshire Museum.
Again, thank you for your continued support. We encourage you to become a member, make a contribution to the Annual Fund, and visit explore.berkshiremuseum.org to enjoy the virtual Art of the Hills: Narrative exhibition until we can celebrate together.
In these difficult times, please take care of yourselves and your loved ones, support one another and stay connected with the community.
