CB4 Postpones Housing Discussion
No info yet on new date. We just received an email from Jesse Bodine, the District Manager for Community Board 4. In it he explains that the presentation on the housing proposal for the MTA/DEP sites that was slated for the Land Use Committee meeting tomorrow (March 11) has been postponed. Specifically, Jesse writes:
HPD would like more time to prepare for the meeting and will not be presenting on the “DEP Site” project on West 48th Street.
There has been a significant amount of correspondence between the speakers office and CB4 Leadership and all parties agreed to use this pause to reengage in a discussion on options for the Hell’s Kitchen RFP. We are working on setting up a meeting with the Speaker in the upcoming weeks. This has the potential for progress and in light of that we will hold off for now on putting the board’s presentation on the committee agenda this Wednesday.
The committee will meet on Wednesday to review the 495 11th Avenue (Slaughterhouse) design only.
So feel free to go to tomorrow's meeting if you're still curious. But discussion of the MTA/DEP sites is off the agenda.
